Popcorn Love: The Annie Movie Teams Up With Target

Let’s walk down memory lane. Guess which musical slash comedy is coming to the big screen nationwide on December 19th?

You’ve guessed it – Annie! Let’s all chime in together “the sun will come out tomorrow”.

I’m sure for the last year you’ve been hearing the buzz about the film’s production. Well, the date is nearing. This childhood classic stars the young beauty, Academy Award nominee, Quvenzhane Willis. Credits also boast funny man, Jamie Foxx and starlet Cameron Diaz.  To celebrate the upcoming launch, I was invited to ‘A Day In The Life’ fashion showcase with Target. At the event, I was able to get a sneak peek at some of the fabulous fashions within the movie! The event was truly a family affair.

Target partnered with Renée Ehrlich Kalfus, costume designer for the modernized movieAnnie,” on a limited-edition collection of girl’s apparel and accessories. The 25-piece collection launched on Nov. 16 at Target stores in the U.S. and on Target.com – and each item is under $25! The collection is inspired by the modernized “Anniemovie produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith. The collection includes bright, playful pieces with fun patterns and textures. The collections’ mix-and-match theme allows kids to create a look all on their own. The collection will also include a DIY kit, Annie’s iconic red dress and of course the famous, heart-shaped locket.

Check out the exclusive video from the event which highlighted the costume designer for Annie, Renee Ehrlich Kalfus (Annie For Target Collection) and the official choreographer for Annie, Zach Woodlee!
